Years ago, the terrifying experience at the Overlook Hotel nearly broke young Dan Torrance’s sanity, when his paranormal gift known as “the shining” opened a direct door to hell. Now an adult, the ghosts of the Overlook and his father’s legacy of alcoholism and violence kept him wandering aimlessly for much of his life. But when he unexpectedly meets twelve-year-old Abra Stone, who possesses an even more powerful manifestation of the shining, their lives are put in grave danger at the hands of the murderous nomadic tribe called the True Knot, reigniting Dan’s own demons and calling him to fight for Abra’s soul and survival.
