The work of American writer H. P. Lovecraft (1890–1937) is vast and varied. His short stories make up the majority of his written work and explore all imaginable dark themes, delivered in his dense and characteristic style. The Horror of Red Hook may not be as famous as some of his other works, such as The Call of Cthulhu or At the Mountains of Madness, but, like the rest of the stories included in this volume, it is a masterful example of Lovecraft’s uniquely terrifying vision.
